Introduction
The new history of East Africa is being written right now. Multinationals and SMEs across a range of markets are establishing their presence in the region, taking advantage of new infrastructure, technology and trade routes. Nairobi is my home – as well as where Terra Firma Africa is headquartered – and I have a personal and professional interest to see East Africa grow and develop to the standard expected by the rest of the world.
Like the region itself, the opportunity in East Africa is vast. Yet this presents challenges that are unique. Such as how to build a new residential complex where no infrastructure exists for the transportation of materials and equipment to site. How to staff and safely operate at international standards hundreds of miles from the nearest inhabited town. Or even how to design and construct buildings to a modern standard that will blend in with the local landscape, whilst also trying to remain contemporary and energy efficient.
These are the problems we solve for our clients every day. We couple modern construction techniques with an on-the-ground understanding of the region, its people and local legislation. We excel where speed and on-time delivery is key to a project’s success. But we differentiate by choosing quality and world-class construction over short-cuts and mediocracy.
We put our clients first.
